Ronald D. Worden

Ronald D. Worden, 80, formerly of Pennellville, passed away at  home. He was born on June 22, 1941 in Oswego to the late Donald and the late Frieda (Goodrich) Worden. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Harris) in 1990 and his great grandson, Liam Tyler

Ron attended Phoenix High School and then he married Shirley in 1961. They settled in Pennellville where they raised their 8 children together. He started Worden Heating and also began a career in the Trucking Industry. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and traveling to visit family.

Ron was a Lifetime member of the Pennellville Fire Department.

Ron is survived by his children, Rhonda (Chuck) Delaney of Oswego, Ronald (Peggy) Worden, Jr of Oswego, Robert Worden of Mexico, Robin (Scott) Hoyt of Fulton, Richard Worden of Raleigh, NC, Rebecca (John) Yerian of Lysander, Rodney (Lauren) Worden of Pulaski, and Rusty (Melody) Worden of Bernhards Bay; brothers, Gary Worden of Leesville, SC and Randal (Lori) Worden of Mexico; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at Watson Funeral Home on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 12- 2 PM. A Funeral service will immediately follow at 2 PM with Pastor Rich Barling officiating. A Graveside service will take place on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11 AM in Pennellville Cemetery, Route 54, Pennellville, NY.
