Loretta E. Holden, 81, of Liverpool, formerly of Broadalbin and West Monroe, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning with her family by her side.
Loretta was born on November 20, 1937 to the late Earnest and Grace St. John. She owned and operated the Fayetteville Cleaners for decades. Loretta enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bowling, hosting family gatherings and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Laurie VanTassel and Lisa (Jay Hook) Merriman; grandchildren, Samantha Billings, Tyler VanTassel, Zoe VanTassel, Deven Merriman, Emily (Cullen) McCauley; one great-grandson, Finley McCauley; a sister, Ethel Person; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Larry Holden; a son, Lawrence Markes; and a grandson, Michael Darby.
Calling Hours will be held from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main St., Central Square with a funeral service immediately following at 6:00 PM. Spring Burial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 11:00 am, at Union Settlement Cemetery.
