Julie E (DeLong) Scott

Julie E. Scott, 59, after a challenge with ALS, went to be with her Lord on March 8th surrounded by her loving family.

Julie attended Mexico Academy and Central School, graduating in 1978 where she was active in the band from middle school and throughout high school, playing the clarinet. Julie was also active in 4-H. After graduation she attended SUNY Oswego and Tennessee Temple University.

Julie, is the daughter of the late Charles and the late Marjorie (Flint) DeLong.

Julie is survived by her husband of 40 years, David, two sons, Benjamin (Tiffany) and Michael (Alyson) and daughter Brittany (Chuck) and one grandson, Allen. Two brothers Grant (Rita) DeLong, Earl (Muriel) DeLong, and a sister, Rebecca (Roger) Vrooman and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Julie was an avid Home-school mom, very involved grandmother, active in the Nursery, and Children's Ministries of several Baptist Churches. She also enjoyed finding bargains at thrift stores and crocheting. 

Calling hours are Saturday, March 14th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with funeral services directly following will be held at the Fellowship Baptist Church located at 2604 US RT 11, Parish, NY 13131.

In lieu of flowers, Julie's desire was the donations be made to the Children's Ministries of Fellowship Baptist Church, 2604 US RT 11, Parish, NY 13131. Ph. 315-625-7485
