Esther Iglesias-Gibson went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2022. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Rev. A.J. Gibson; her Sister, Hilda Iglesias; her brother Frank Iglesias; her Parents, Frank and Rosita Iglesias; her niece, Patricia Fuentes and her nephew, David Iglesias, Jr.
She is survived by her 4 children, Mark Richard (Deborah) Gibson of North Syracuse; Jaymie Huffman of Parish, NY; Kimberly Stacie (Roger) Chapman of Myrtle Beach, SC; and David (Jennifer) Gibson of Camden, NY, her 11 grandchildren Adam, Brandon, Christian, Allison (Hunter), Grace, Jacob, Colter "Leo", Andrew, Holly, Sam and Katherine, her 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Rev. David Iglesias.
Esther lived her life for the Lord. She served as Pastor's wife for over 25 years at Mallory Wesleyan Church and Camden Wesleyan Church. She ministered through song, playing the piano, teaching, counseling and hosting many events. She was a teacher at Christian Life School where she produced and directed musical productions. She was a hostess and cashier at Plainville Turkey Farm.
She had a passion and talent for making all things look beautiful. She loved music and watching her favorite TV programs. She enjoyed trips to the beach and warm swimming pools. Most of all, she took pleasure in spending time with her dearest friends and family.
A calling hour will be held at Mallory Wesley Church on Monday, August 1st, 2022 at 10 AM. At 11:00 will be a service followed by the Internment at Hillside Cemetery in Central Square. Friends and family are invited to return to the church for food and fellowship.
