Elizabeth M Rowe

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Rowe, 94, of West Monroe, passed peacefully at home on Friday, June 25, 2021.

Betty was hardworking, always providing for her children. At one point, she worked three jobs, the Double J Ranch in Constantia, the Syracuse Herald Journal, and G.E. in Syracuse where she retired after 29 years of service.

Betty enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds, playing games, time with her family and fishing. She provided loving care for her mother and father, in their later years, until their passing. Years later she moved to Boynton Beach, FL to be with her eldest daughter, in her greatest time of need, before she passed away from breast cancer.

Betty is predeceased by her son David Rowe; daughter Kathy Ward; son in law Peter Bouvier; parents Bertha and Fred Grevelding; sister Margaret Hanley; grandchildren June Elizabeth "Becky" Rowe and Vincent Seamans. She is survived by her daughters Susan (Paul) Salce of W. Monroe, Nancy Bouvier of Pembroke Pines, FL;  daughter in law Linda Rowe of Altmar; grandchildren Monica (Ward) Carter, Amy (Ward) Pierce, Bethany (Bouvier) Rees, Laurie Finger, and Michael Finger; and numerous great grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be Tuesday, June 29, from 11 :00 am to 1:00 pm, at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm. Burial will be immediately following in Union Settlement Cemetery, West Monroe.
