Edward P. “Eddie” Einhart, 65, of Central Square passed away on March 11, 2020 in Syracuse NY.
Eddie was born on January 4th 1955 in Rockville Centre, NY to the late Joseph E. and the late Virginia M. (Trenholm) Einhart.
Eddie graduated from Massapequa Highschool in 1973. He went on to SUNY Farmingdale, and Cornell University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for General Electric, Mill Control Systems, and then became self employed with Industrial Control & Electrical Design Corporation. Finally he worked for Moog Corporation in their Aerospace Division. He meet and married his wife of 37 years, Grace, in 1982. Eddie enjoyed singing with the Harmony Katz and the Snow Belters. Eddie was a barbershopper for 35 years. Eddie enjoyed inventing electronic devices, he invented a cable design for the Aries 1 rocket. Eddie was a Jack of All Trades. Eddie was heavily involved in Boy Scouts of America, having served as Scout Master for 5 years. Eddie helped build the rectory at Divine Mercy Parish. Most recently he served as Vice President of Fort Brewerton Historical Association. Eddie built and designed the Einhart Star in Brewerton in the center of the earth works. Of all of Eddie’s accomplishments he was most proud of his three children.
Eddie is survived by his wife Grace (Merrill); his children Christopher, Hallie, and Erika; his twin brother, Walter (Carol) Einhart, Kenneth Einhart, and Robert (Gail) Einhart; his uncle Bob; several brothers and sisters in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held from 4 – 7 PM on Tuesday March 17, 2020 at the Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main St, Central Square, NY 13036. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately.
