Donald C. Whitney

Donald C. Whitney, 74, of Bernhards Bay, passed away on Wednesday at his home, surrounded by family. He was a proud Navy veteran and loved to go fishing. Don enjoyed time with family and friends, often listening to his favorite music from the 50’s and 60’s. He was a loving father and husband and loved to be out and about with his wife Linda, who was his best friend.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda (Dutcher) Whitney; children, Rita Whitney, Wendy (Ken) Cox, and Linda Woods; grandchildren, Ashley, Jackie, Dillin, Sr., and Maria; a great-grandson, Dillin, Jr.; and his best buddy, Shane, the dog, who never left his side.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, Aug. 27, 2- 4 PM, with a brief service to follow at Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main St., Central Square, NY.
