Dean "Dreamer" Arthur VanEpps died Saturday, September 25, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Watertown, NY on March 2, 1954, to Shirley (Armstrong) and Harold VanEpps. Dean attended South Jefferson High School and worked in construction for 40 years. He could fix just about anything and was skilled in both rough and finish carpentry. Dean was an artist and extremely creative. He loved being outside, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He played on various softball leagues and golfed for many years. His passion for sports included cheering for SU Basketball, the NY Yankees, Bills and Giants football, NASCAR, and golf.
Dean was adored by his many friends, supported his local VFW, and flew the American flag every day.

Dean was predeceased in death by both parents; two brothers, Walt and Dale; and a (step) son, Rob Abrams. He is survived by former wife Colleen Miller, their daughter Chasity (Greg) Rambo; and former wife Debbie Schuster, and their daughter Nichole (Rustin) VanEpps. He leaves behind three grandchildren, Alexis (Kenny) Beers, DJ, and Billy. He is also survived by sisters Sandy (Lee) Crisler,  Darlene (Dick) Crysler, Char (Chuck) Paro; a brother, Bob (Kris) VanEpps; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
