Christopher May Obituary

Christopher W. May, 40, passed away at his home in Central Square, NY on August 25, 2022. He was born on March 23, 1982 in Syracuse. Chris was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather Martin E May and his paternal grandparents John W Faust and Mabel Faust.

Chris graduated from Central Square Central Schools in the class of 2000.  He loved being a part of the music department and spent his entire school career being involved in bands and drama productions. Many of his lifelong friendships were formed during his school years and they still share stories of the antics they enjoyed together.

Chris spent many years working in the automotive parts industry, most notably working for Napa Auto parts for many years. Ha had a vast knowledge of the parts industry and a salesman's personality.  Many friendships were made while working and continued into his personal life.

Chris never met anyone that did not become his best friend, he was so certain that everyone loved him. He enjoyed Gaming on his computer, camping with his family, playing his guitar with his family and friends, and often talked about his love of music and a dream to play his music on the "Big Stage".  Although he never achieved his goal, he made many lasting life long friends along the way.

Chris had a love of animals, especially his dogs. He cherished his dog Charlie for many years and later spent much time bragging about his golden doodle Maverick, telling everyone who would listen about the lineage and history of the breed and what made Maverick special among them. He took joy in catching animals and bringing them home, especially if someone else could be scared by it. He usually used snakes for this particular joy, and would laugh as others ran from it.

Chris had a very strong love for his family and friends.  He would tease and torment, tell jokes, or do anything he could to make people laugh. He was always there when he thought someone needed him or he could help out.

Left to cherish his memories are a host of family. Mother and stepfather, Deborah Faust and Andrew Marshall of DeRuyter, NY; Father, Wayne A Faust of Camillus, NY; Brother, Michael M Faust and Fiancé, Tara Doerr of Dekalb Junction, NY; Maternal Grandmother, Patricia A May of Central Square, NY; Step siblings, Amy Hanna of Conway SC, Ashley Collins of Conway, SC, Ashley Marshall of DeRuyter, NY, Travis Marshall (Alyshia) of DeRuyter, NY, and Megan Casey (Anthony) of Spring ,TX; Several nieces and nephews; His Aunts and Uncles, Edward M.
