Brenda A. (Lukas) Colyer

It is with great sadness the family of Brenda (Lukas) Colyer, 63, of Bridgeport, announces her unexpected passing on August 22, 2022.  Brenda will be dearly missed and always remembered. Brenda grew up in Bridgeport and previously resided in West Bloomfield, NY.  She was a 1977 graduate of Cicero High School and retired from the New York State Thruway Authority.  She co-owned Colyer Trucking, LLC.  Brenda enjoyed spoiling her cat, Zeva, attending NASCAR Modified races, and living in her newly purchased home.  

Brenda is predeceased by her father, Paul R. Lukas. She is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, David Colyer, Jr., her mother, Joan B. Lukas, sisters Nancy (Ron) Carter and Patricia (Ted) Williams, and several nephews.  

To honor Brenda’s memory, A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Bridgeport VFW, 516 State Route 31, at 1PM-4:30PM. Brenda’s friends and loved ones are invited to attend and share favorite stories and memories of her.
