William W. Weaver

January 15, 1950 ~ August 28, 2017 (age 67) 67 Years Old

William W. Weaver Sr. of Hastings passed away unexpectedly at home Monday August 28, 2017 at the age of 67. William served his country faithfully in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and received the purple heart. As a young adult Bill started working for Fanta Sea Pools, later partnering with Don Wehrung to own several branch stores. He moved on to owning and racing the monster truck Rambo with Willie jr and Iron Mike Nitzke. Also owned and operated construction businesses with in the local community for 22 years. BUT… we all knew his passion was wheelin and dealin. Bill was a very family oriented person that loved his motorcycle and antique cars.

He is predeceased by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 44 years Dolly, his parents Henry and Shirley, 2 sister Jean Beverly and Georgia, and brother Hanky.  

Bill is survived by his sons Willie, Jason (Danielle Buda), and Michael (Heather) Weaver. His 6 grandchildren, Kayla (Jake) Gabe Speers, Alicia pumpkin (Jory) Fowler, Emily (Bunny) Weaver, Kyle and Luke Weaver, And Michael Weaver. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters Cherrie Evans and Cindy (George) Clark and bothers Rick, Chuck, and Scott (Chip) Weaver, close nephew Ben Weaver and several other nieces and nephews and Mike (Amy) Nitzke who are truly family to Bill.

Calling Hours are 4 to 8 pm Friday September 1, 2017 at Watson Funeral Home 631 South Main Street Central Square, NY 13036

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday September 2, 2017 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the V.A. Hospital in Syracuse, New York.
