Dr. Harry C. Penoyer, 71, of Central Square ended life’s journey Saturday, June 15, 2019.
Born October 29, 1947 to the late Roger and Anne Penoyer, Dr. Penoyer graduated from Paul V. Moore High School, Central Square and then pursued his career in Dentistry, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1978. Dr. Penoyer met mis wife Marilyn through dentistry. They married in 1980 and together they provided dental care in Central Square for 32 years. Dr. Penoyer was a member of the Central Square Lions Club, the Greater Oneida Lake Chamber of Commerce, the American Dental Association and Divine Mercy of Central Square. Helping the community was very important to Dr. Penoyer and every year he, his wife and staff would run dental programs in the schools to make sure all children received access to good dental care. Dr. Penoyer was pre-deceased by his sister Bonnie earlier this year.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Marilyn LaDue Penoyer; his brother Thomas Penoyer; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Some of Harry’s happiest memories were the times spent with family and friends.
Calling hours will be held 4-7pm Wednesday at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square. Funeral services will be 10am Thursday at the funeral home, 631 S. Main St., Central Square. Burial will be in West Monroe Cemetery.
