Donald S. Sorbello, Sr.

Donald S. Sorbello Sr, 79, of Schroeppel, passed away on Saturday following a brief illness.
Born March 16, 1940 to the late Samuel and June Sorbello, Don retired from SUNY ESF where he was a pipe fitter/plumber and was a member of the CSEA Union.  Don loved to bowl, having had several 300 games.  He also loved Karaoke, country western music and anything Elvis.  Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his first wife Bettie, his brother Michael and his sister, Grace Gristwood.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Sorbello; his daughters, Tina (Eric) Oja, and Melinda (Richard) Burdick; his son, Donald (Christina) Sorbello Jr.; his step daughter, Kelly (Dennis) Niles; his sisters, Virginia Ezzo and Annette (Michael) Sgroi; his brothers, Frank (Linda) Sorbello and Thomas Sorbello; his grandchildren, Eric Oja Jr., Travis Oja, Amanda (Christopher) Childes, Anthony (Melissa) & Michael (Alicia) Pannozzo, Luciana & Dominica Sorbello, and Maggie & Edward Niles; and 4 great grandchildren, & several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 5-8pm Wednesday at the Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main St., Central Square.  A service will be held 9am Thursday at the funeral home with burial in Roosevelt Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Francis House of Syracuse.
