Bert Tatro, died Friday, October 5th, after a 14 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He grew up in Central Square, New York, and attended Clarkson University and Canton College; where he graduated second in his class. His work life began at Kodak and ended at the Burdick Toyota Dealership. He loved to design and build small wooden boats, and he never hesitated to put his building skills to work to help a friend or to do volunteer work at Unity Acres.
He loved exploring nature and travelling with his devoted wife of 51 years, Olga. He is also survived by a daughter, Lana; adored grandchildren, Nadia and Jasper; brother-in-law, Myron; sister-in-law, Marianna; and close friends who will remember his strength, honesty, integrity, and droll sense of humor. He is preceded in death by parents, Warren and Marie Tatro.
Calling hours will be held at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square, NY, on Friday, October 12th from 4-7.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter.
